Hi, I'm Kitty Sonder

I’m an author and artist who loves to fill the world with the stories and characters in my heart. It is my dream to bring people escapism and hope through my art and writing especially in times of darkness. .

I am someone who loves life; who loves the sheer joy of a new day filled with fun, writing, books, art, Korean dramas and worlds you get to lose yourself in. I live to dream and create.

My story

I was born in a little town by the sea in England and as I was born, a lion roared; maybe because of my wild hair, or perhaps because the hospital was by the zoo!

When I was six years old, I had a dream, to be an author and this December, that dream is coming true. My debut novel, Dernketh - The Broken Island is coming out.

A book that began with a dream that made my dream come true - perhaps cliche but true. And oh so magical!

Some random facts about me

I love to learn - languages, knowledge, my bookcase is crammed full of books on every language and country - especially South East Asia

Korean Dramas are my life. My favourite is W Between Two Worlds and Strong Girl Bong Soon. Watch them, you won't regret it

I live to draw, pouring my heart into the pawtraits I create for my business @happypawtraits where I get to draw adorable furriends every day. It makes me happy and relaxes me and even though my book is a young adult I HAD to include art. That's the best bit about self publishing, you get to do what you want.

When dogs see me - they run at me. I've been knocked off sea walls, squished at parties and bowled down by Alsatians. And I love it!
